About The Role

Ahria Consulting is inviting applications from candidates who are seeking an opportunity to champion Huron House Boys’ Home’s mission of transforming lives through compassionate care and strategic leadership.

 

Your leadership will foster a collaborative workplace, empowering our dedicated team and strategically aligning program responsibilities with individual talents. By promoting continuous learning and growth, you will ensure that staff are equipped to deliver the highest quality of care and support to residents.

 

You will craft and execute both short-term and long-term strategic plans, ensuring Huron Home’s success and alignment with emerging trends and regulatory developments. Your oversight will maintain a safe and supportive environment for residents, seamlessly integrating them into programs and collaborating with caregivers to meet their complex needs. By forging strong partnerships and advocating for Huron Home’s mission, you will enhance impact and resource sharing while upholding a positive community image. Your expertise in financial stewardship and board engagement will ensure the sustainability and governance of Huron House, guiding us towards a brighter future for the youth we serve.

 

You will need these qualifications, skills and experience:

  • Master’s degree in social services from an accredited university.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in senior management roles, demonstrating strategic leadership and decision-making.
  • Familiarity with Children’s Mental Health Sector is desirable.
  • Previous experience in environments directly impacting adolescents or live-in treatments would be preferred.
  • Effective collaboration with nonprofit volunteer Boards and deep understanding of community dynamics.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities, including public speaking.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and policies, coupled with excellent organizational and time management skills.

Other requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
  • Current, satisfactory vulnerable sector police check (or CPIC).
  • Up-to-date immunizations and records.
